Lara Ricote, a Mexican born, Amsterdam based comedian and storyteller, was crowned winner of the Funny Women Stage Award in September 2021, impressing judges with her wit and physical comedy.

The bilingual comic performs in both English and Spanish, and is a stand-up regular at Amsterdam's Comedy Embassy. With a background in improv and sketch comedy, she also co-writes and produces Dutch satirical news programme Que Onda NL País, co-hosts The Comedy Undergradz podcast, and runs Spanish-language comedy company La Risa Dam. She's recently been signed by Individual Artists Management.
